Cádiz-Port lives a great night with a new edition of its annual awards

    The winners were Mr. José Luis Blanco Romero, former president of the Port Authority of the Bay of Cadiz, and the body of the Civil Guard on the occasion of the 175th anniversary of its foundation, which was handed over to the Colonel of the Command of the Civil Guard of Cadiz.

    Last Friday, July 26th, a new presentation of the prizes organized by the Cadiz-Port association took place, being the winners on this occasion D. José Luis Blanco Romero, former president of the Port Authority of the Bay of Cadiz, and the Colonel of the Command of the Civil Guard in Cadiz on the occasion of the 175th anniversary of the body.

    The winners were José Luis Blanco Romero from Cadiz, who was in charge of the Bay of Cadiz Port Authority until last February. He was president of this entity for almost 6 years and was thanked for the work carried out during this time. On the other hand, the Guardia Civil received this award for the important anniversary it celebrates in 2019, which is none other than the 175th anniversary of its foundation.

    Cadiz-Port wanted to highlight the importance of the event by the entity of the winners, people and entities closely linked to the day-to-day maritime activity of all partners and components of the sector.

    The awards were presented by Teófila Martínez, president of the Cadiz Port Authority, and Rafael Fernández, president of Cadiz-Port. The event was attended by different personalities related to the maritime sector and our city as Victoria Rodriguez, special delegate of the Free Trade Zone of Cadiz, Juan Jose Ortiz, councilman of the City Council, Carmen Romero, secretary general of the CEC, Israel Rodriguez, maritime captain of Cadiz, Agustin Romero, director of the Port of the Bay of Cadiz; Diego Chaves, president of FEMCA; Bernardino Copano, president of APEMAR; Manuel Ángel León, secretary general of the Government Sub-delegation in Cádiz; Antonio Rivas, inspector of the Local Police of Cádiz; or Luis Martín Velasco, head of operations of the Command of the Civil Guard of Cádiz, among others.

    Rafael Fernández, president of Cadiz-Port, wanted to thank the attendees for their willingness and interest shown that makes this awards ceremony an event marked in the Cadiz agenda, edition after edition.
