The Bay of Cadiz Port Authority continues to make progress towards the commissioning of the New Container Terminal. To this end, last Friday it sent the project for paving the esplanade and urbanisation of access to the terminal to Puertos del Estado.

The project’s budget amounts to €6,208,146.42 (excluding VAT), which requires a mandatory report from Puertos del Estado (exceeding €3 million).

As is known, 45,000 square meters of surface area of the new container terminal have been granted to Concasa for its exploitation.

Among the conditions of the concession included the commitment by the APBC to pave the esplanade and complete the urbanization of the environment, whose works will be tendered when Puertos del Estado issues the positive report.

The president of the Bay of Cadiz Port Authority, Teófila Martínez Saiz, wanted to highlight the effort made by the technicians to be able to tender this work in the shortest possible time, given its importance in fulfilling the commitment to put the New Container Terminal into service at the end of next year.
