Cádiz-Port is committed to transforming the Bay of Cádiz into a logistics hub par excellence

The Association, founded in 1997 to promote the Port of Cadiz Bay, poses a new stage with the challenge of expanding business niches
Cádiz-Port, the Association for the Promotion of the Bay of Cádiz Port, is committed to transforming the Bay of Cádiz into a logistic pole par excellence in a new stage in which it assumes the challenge of expanding its business niches.
The president of Cádiz-Port, Rafael Fernández, presented the new Power Up Business Cádiz project during the group’s assembly last week. The project aims to increase business opportunities, create a logistics park in the Bay and increase the competitive capacity of the sector.
The plan is based on three sectors: naval, renewable energies (blue economy) and the offshore industry, although, as the president indicated during the presentation, “we are open to the demands and suggestions of all”.
On this basis, Cádiz-Port will focus its marketing activity in the next months on three actions: the development of professional events and seminars; the celebration of debates and analysis (Let’s talk Cádiz) and, finally, the Neo Cádiz Bay Summit.
According to Rafael Fernández, the main action of the project is to create a great debate between businessmen, authorities and experts to evaluate the real possibilities of promoting the Bay of Cadiz as an operational logistic centre for the maintenance and repair of ocean structures increasing even more the naval sector in the region.
On the other hand, Let’s talk Cádiz is conceived as a way to promote small talks and events with guests who can contribute ideas, strategies and opportunities, generating a positive debate and solutions applicable to local problems.
Finally, Neo Cadiz Bay Summit will be the opportunity to introduce the Bay of Cadiz as a logistic pole with potential, presenting the advantages of the industrial and logistic park and the strategic location between Europe and the African continent, highlighting also the work already done by local companies.
The Port Authority of the Bay of Cadiz, in order to support this new stage initiated by Cadiz-Port, will provide logistical and economic support.
